Lord Shiva's body is the entire universe, his speech is the universal language and his ornaments are the moon and stars. we bow to you, the pure Lord Shiva.

Guru Saakshaat Para-Brahma, Tasmai Shri Guruve Namah ||
Know the Guru to be Brahma (Creator) himself. She/He is Vishnu (Sustainer), and He/She is also Shiva (Destroyer). Know Her/Him to be the Supreme Brahman, and offer thy adoration unto that peerless Guru.

2. Yato hastastato drishtiryato drishtistato manaha
Yato manastato bhaavo yato bhaavastato rasaha
Meaning:
Whither the hand goes, the glance follows.
Whither the glance leads, the mind follows.
Whither the mind goes, there the mood follows.
Whither the mood goes, there is real flavour (Rasa) born.
3. Aasyenaalambayed geetam hastenaartham pradarshayet
Chakshurbhyaam darshayed bhaavam paadaabhyaam taalamaacharet
Meaning:
The dancer should sing with the mouth, express the meaning of the song by hand gestures, show expressions by her eyes and follow the rhythm with her feet.
4. Javaha sthiratvam rekhaa cha bhramari drushtirshramaha
Medhaa shraddha vacho geetam paatrapraanaa dasha smrutaahaa
Meaning:
Agility, steadiness, stance/posture, practice in eyebrow movement, the glancing eye, endurance, memory, devotion (to the art), (clear) speech and good singing are the ten essential qualities of a dancer.
